Deluge Bittorrent client
October 24th, 2008
For us Linux users, when it comes to fully fledged graphical bittorrent client, we’d opt for using either of
μtorrent or Bittorrent, with Wine of course. But there’s an Open Source and native Linux alternative to this: Deluge Bittorrent client.
Deluge means complexity packed in a simple user interface. Its easy to use interface makes it my favourite bittorrent client.
The latest version of Deluge available right now is version 1.03 for Linux, MAC and Windows. It has the following notable features:
- Full Encryption
- WebUI
- Plugin System
- Much more..
Very useful for the common user like me, downloading is much easier and you can select which files to download and which not to from the files tab below. You can even set the preferences about how much of bandwidth it is to use. All plugins are currently added in the main distribution itself, though many more are yet to come.
This free software is licensed under the GNU GPL, so that you can freely download and modify their source code according to your needs. As is with any free software, Deluge is for YOU.
NOTE: You can get more information about Deluge here:
